Especially the kind that smacks at the side of the head with an ice pick. But I have to watch it. I have to find a better quality video but right now I’m not picky because, well, smoking-hot-demon-boy. It’s Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru (The Betrayal Knows My Name) and frankly, after getting a link in my inbox and there’s action and cute and fluff and adorable orphans and GAH. I’m not entirely positive I’ve seen so much non-pairing FLUFF in a light yaoi before.
Let’s start with the fact that our main male lead, Yuki is a pretty boy who in a past life was a girl and the lover of this high-level demon, and now that he’s reincarnated as a man—well, his lover doesn’t really mind even though Yuki-kun/chan *depending on who’s talking to/about him* has no idea what’s going on.
I’m only an episode and a half in and I can only find shoddy Youtube rips, but considering the price on Amazon I can’t afford it right now. Plus I can’t tell if the version they have is subbed. (And there’s even a drama CD but I can’t understand the language. LOL. I’m still tempted. Luka is pretty hot sounding.)
Back to the Youtuebs.

Date: 2012-01-12 04:02 am (UTC)Inoue: Um, shouldn't you be more considerate of your job as a credible seiyuu?
Fukuyama: Who are you to give me criticism?
Inoue: I'm Marina Inoue!
Fukuyama: Who?
Inoue: Remember? I played Caetuna in FF type-0?
Fukuyama: Who?
Inoue: The Suzaku Cie'th lady?
Fukuyama: Pah, nobody remembers her!
Inoue: What about the female protagonist in the portable version of Persona 3?
Fukuyama: ...Are you sure that wasn't just Ishida using a falsetto?

Date: 2012-01-12 04:21 am (UTC)Hoshi: Oh...this is kinda awkward considering what we did together in Sukisho and all...
Koyasu: Oh relax, it's not as though this sort of thing is uncommon in anime.
(FLASHBACK - 1997: recording of Abunai series)
Horiuchi: Your ass is mine, Morikawa!
Morikawa: Meeples! Please be gentle!
(CUT TO: 2004: recording of Kyou Kara Maou)
Horiuchi: Erm...
Morikawa: ...So you're my dad now?
Horiuchi: This is a little...
Morikawa: Yeah...
(FLASHBACK - 2001: recording of Endless Series)
Morikawa: Hey. We screwing again?
Ishida: What else?
Morikawa: This is what, the...fifth series we've done together now?
Ishida: Probably. Now are you going to be brutal or gentle? I want to know how high I have to raise my pitch.
(CUT TO: 2006: recording of NIGHT HEAD GENESIS)
Ishida: We're...brothers.
Morikawa: ...Eyup.
Ishida: Extremely...close...brothers.
Morikawa: Uh-huh...
Ishida: And my character is depressingly dependent on yours to the point of needing to clutch onto him for protection?
Morikawa: Pretty much...
Ishida: ...This is going to be the biggest ship in the fandom, isn't it?
Morikawa: Seems set to be.
(FLASHBACK - 1997: recording of Ourin Gakuin)
Midorikawa: So can I just ask; how high can you go?
Ishida: Um, I think pretty high. I mean I can do a woman voice if you want-
Midorikawa: Nah, it's fine. Just try and make me sound seme by compariso- actually you know what, never mind. Just keep doing what you're doing.
Ishida: What's that supposed to mean?
(CUT TO: 2000: recording of Sukisho)
Midorikawa: Oh...
Ishida: Hmm...
Midorikawa: So you're my...'mother'?
Ishida: My character thinks of himself as that.
Midorikawa: Does that mean you're not going to do the woman voice?

LOL
Date: 2012-01-12 04:38 am (UTC)Brings that awkward accidental proposal a whole nother level of hilarity.
DON'T PICK THAT UP YUURI! Dope.
Re: LOL
Date: 2012-01-12 04:49 am (UTC)Really what amused me most was how in the OVA when they introduced Saralegui, not only did Yuuri mistake him for a woman at first (Ishida can't resist playing ladyboys, can he?) but his first series of lines were a send up of Kaworu's introduction from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Just in case the fans didn't know who was voicing him. The FFIX version of this speech would be:
Kuja: Theatre is good.
Zidane: Huh?
Kuja: Plays bring joy and revitalize the human soul. I think that theatre is the highest achievement of Gaian culture. Wouldn't you agree, Zidane Tribal?
Zidane: How do you know my name?
Kuja: Everyone knows your name. I don't mean to sound rude, but you're rather ignorant of your own position.
Zidane: Oh really? Who're you?
Kuja: I am Kuja. I am like you, an angel of death.
[AND THERE'S A BIT MORE BUT IT'D VENTURE INTO OOC TERRITORY FOR THESE TWO]
