DDFF: Some Gameplay Observations.

Calling your attacks!

Everyone does it.  It's useful sometimes: the only way you know that something is about to hit you upside your head.  But this can also backfire.

Take, for instance, Zidane.

On the ground he's fairly hard to read.  He's a blocker's bane.

But!

Though his strength is in the air, it is also where he is easiest to defend against.  The one attack--the one where he throws his daggers, combos, and then hits the Meo Twister? It is heavily telegraphed.  After one hit by that I was able to work out my BF's strategy, and all subsequent attempts at that tactic failed.  It is easy to block.

This is probably why the ragequit.

Calling one's attacks by repeating the same pattern is a bad idea in DDFF PVP.

Just don't tell him that.  Unless you're ready to leave combat.

... I'd be talkier, but I am still Droiding it up.

To-Do List:
-- the same as the last one, except with an emphasis on getting the internet back.

That WoL has a combo platter glut. You get Rune Saber'd or Bitter End'd so many times... And the Yuna will bitchslap you with Shiva or Valefor SO HARD...

I tried it for a bit a few years back due to needing to avoid my venomous ovaries during exams (I had the misfortune of them sriking during my GCSEs which cost me at least two exams, one of which I burst into tears during because the pains were just that bad) but that still caused me some grief. But considering that I just can't afford for this to be a regular thing, the pill it most likely has to be. My ma apparently had the same problem and she was fortunate enough that after 6 months of the pill her ovaries calmed down. I'm hoping that is what will happen.

I'd better have kids some day because otherwise this crap just isn't worth it.

.... Yeah, we're a matched set. Going off means being borderline crippled. Take it from someone who missed chunks of class time from it
They're only still in because one day I might ( and I'm not even positive!) want a small one running around one day.

... Age 11: the horror begins. Age 25: finally something that works.

WHOSE IDEA WAS THIS CURSE?!

What really grates me (aside from the sensation of a cheesegrater wreaking hell in there) is being accused of being overdramatic and just wanting some time off. If I weren't reduced to day old kitten level of weakness I'd be opening up a can of whoopass on anybody who said that. Nevermind, I'll just get Mont to sic 'em.

So bad was this idea that when I first began developing my OC series it put me off the idea of having any main female characters in there (it was a superhero series) because my experience made me convinced that it would be impossible for a mature girl or woman to take up a full-time role where people would depend on them when that crap occured once a month. Of course now I know better but it made me skeptical about female superheroes for a while.

I KNOW RIGHT?

If there were a way to demonstrate this sensation we'd have a fix by now.

WE GOT BONER PILLS OUT THE YINGYANG BUT NO ACCEPTABLE SOLUTION FOR THIS.

I SAY UNTO YOU: Whut?

AT LEAST WE HAVE...

UH...

...

...

...

Yeah, we got a crummy deal. *huggles Mont*

(Though Sugartits is a close second.)

That is true.

And it is lovely <3

That reminds me I have to go out and download the update to my writing program. ( Kolkata, autocorrect? How is that anything like update?)
